Glossy is a WordPress plugin that will work alongside Tippy to present pre-created tooltips anywhere throughout a site.
If you have tooltips that you want to use more than once on a site, use Glossy. Create a new entry in Glossy, defining the parameters for your tooltip, and include the tooltip wherever you want by using a shortcode. See screenshots below for examples.

Dear Sir
I have just added your plugin glossy on latest post on our wp blog:
It works fine, but it does not show Croatian signs properly.
Furthermore, I would like to change the background color
Could you help me, please.
Thanks, M.
Hi, I was wondering if Glossy had an option to turn off the title as well as the alt=”text” effect. I’d like it to look like [tippy title=xxx header=off]xxx[/tippy], but i’m not sure how to edit the plugin code to do so. Thanks!
Hi,
I really love this plugin, thanks for sharing it
There’s one thing I’m not quite sure: How does Google read the [gs audacity]? My SEO tool neglects this occurrance of the keyword “audacity”.
Another question: How do I create a stand alone glossary page of the glossy entries? I didn’t find a hint on this.
kind regards and thanks a lot
Karim,
Thanks for the comment. On the first question, Google should read it like any other post. I’m not an SEO expert, but I do know that when Google indexes your site, the content it sees will be the same as what a visitor sees. Google won’t see [gs audacity], it will see whatever the plugin outputs. That said, I’m not sure if ranking is affected by the way other plugins handle it. Other plugins (such as an SEO plugin), being internal to WordPress, are able to see the post content without taking into account changes plugins (like Glossy) might make. But I’m surprised that an SEO plugin doesn’t first filter the post through other installed plugins.
On the second question, there is no automatic way to do that. For now you’d just have to make a page and manually write out the listings. But that would make a good feature for Glossy, so I’ll keep that in mind for a future update.
Hi
Is there a chance to use Glossy tooltip over images???
For some reason, Glossy won’t allow me to add any entries. I don’t know if this is a problem with my permissions in WordPress or what. Any ideas would be appreciated, or, is there a way to manually enter entries in the plugins–>editor screen?
Thanks
Andrew,
Are you seeing any sort of error message? You’re trying to use the Glossy -> Add Entry page to add them? I’m not sure why it wouldn’t allow you to add.
